The skin you live in
As a nude photographer in Italy, I touch one of the most taboo areas of photography. Yet I love pushing the limits, so it makes it one of my favourite forms of artistic photography. Nude photography is not easy at all. First of all there is a very fine line between an erotic photo and one that is artistic. Also it’s tricky to find models happy to pose nude and when I find one, it’s crucial to establish a trusting relationship. After all, through my eyes and my lens, the model shares her intimacy with the world. That’s a pretty big deal.
Because it’s such a delicate matter, a nude photo session in Tuscany becomes something very special. It’s not about taking good shots, but about crossing boundaries, acceptance of your body, fighting your fears and doubts. When I shoot nudes, I don’t see a naked body, but I see forms, curves, light and shadows, model’s emotions and sensitivity.
This nude photo session in Tuscany is particularly important to me, because it’s shot outdoors in a type of environment that I love most. We also managed to build a great connection with the model and since our characters clicked, we created beautiful harmony. The feeling of good flow and mutual understanding is key in my work, especially in nude photo sessions.
